Yeah my buddy out in the eatonville/graham area had solid snowcover until about the same time. On the 18th most places around his house had 6” atleast on the ground with more in the shaded areas too. Pretty crazy how long the snow lasted in lower elevations.

 

My last snow pile melted this morning. Here it was at 5am this morning. RIP snow pile 2019.

About 6" of rain up here on the 18z GFS. That would get us to around normal for April rainfall...

Hopefully the WA mountains can get more snow to make up for dryness recently. Snow pack is at 60-70% in most of the cascades. Might be a challenge to get up to normal.

Just checked the February stats for Crater Lake National Park Headquarters. Period of record is 1919-present.

 

Mean temp: 19.1 This is 2nd coldest all time in February behind 18.9 in 1989.

 

157.1" of snow. This was 7th all time for February and the 2nd most in February since 1949. They had 248.9" in February 1949.

Maybe it’s just me but it feels a little bit muggy today even though the humidity isn’t that bad.

I think its just the combination of warm temps and cloud cover... its really not muggy.   The dewpoint is in the 30s.

Wow. It actually just POURED monsoon-style here. It's still going, but not as hard. Reminds me of 9/20/17, rain so hard you just have to go out and see it.

‘14-15 was a weak Nino, so it was kind of borderline neutral.

 

‘15-16 was a weird one as it was a strong Nino that didn’t produce much rain for California. So you’re exactly right.

 

I think these were more anomalous and the current Nino is more typical.

Very wet drive from downtown tonight heading east on Burnside. There was lots of ponding on the roads which made it harder to see all the potholes.
