Omegaraptor
93-94 was a rather bush league winter too so hopefully not an analog but we are definitely not due here. Yeah 93-94 was an awful winter. No rain until December, January was a torch, and most arctic air events had no precipitation. Except for the late February one (backloaded because why wouldn't it be) that dumped 2 slushy inches at PDX which immediately melted with the 1.9" of rain that fell that day. 92-93 was great though. Tons of extreme cold but the storm track was complete crap and kept warm-sectoring us into sleet/ZR..it was literally pouring rain at 15*F in one of those storms. Thank goodness I was too young to remember that. But I’d love a repeat of 1992/93..epic triple-phaser superstorm dumping 16” of snow in 7hrs followed by sideways sleet and gusts to 72mph. My family still has old home videos of that monster. 1 Quote Live Weather Cam: https://www.youtube.com/live/KxlIo8-KVpc?si=xKLCFYWbZieAfyh6 PWS Wunderground https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KMDBETHE62 PWS CWOP/NOAA: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=F3819&hours=
VancouverIslandSouth
Yeah... your area is pretty much the same under ridging and troughing. Basically 70s and sun. Here the difference is huge. It's 60F and raining here now if it's any consolation.

Sounds like that could have been a deformation zone event. I’ve already talked about the July 18, 1987 deformation zone which caused many places from central OR to far north CA to have their coldest summer day on record.
