Interestingly looking at precip over the years, we see a pretty noticeable upward trend in the spring months of March-May, and a declining trend in the fall and winter months, summer precip across Oregon has remained relatively stable since 1895, as it there is not generally much of it. Annual precip has been pretty stable overall, though there has not been an extremely wet year since 2012.

About what I figured.  Annual precip hasn’t changed much. Our climate is warming not drying, overall.  Although, our summers may be drying slightly.

Let’s check out the 12z EPS. I was actually pretty surprised about the amount of spread in week two. Lots of warm members mixed in even though the mean is solidly in the cool camp. I imagine the warmer ones probably drop the trough offshore rather than progressing it inland. We’ll see what happens.

Constant mild light AR drizzle/rain is just what the doctor ordered for the ecosystem without flooding or too much mountain snowpack destruction.

What do you think about the claims that the long term PNW climate isn’t drying out for down that way? Seems there’s been year after year of well below average annual precip the last decade.

75 in Lewiston right now. Toasty in that warm sector!

Yep but still better for them than 80 which was a possibility a few days ago. I'm quite fine with 70 where we topped out. Now at 67.5 so about room temperature. Granted 80 in January feels like August, 80 if in April is nice but concerning for summer, 80 in August is a cool summer (or smoke cooled), and 80 in the fall feels cooler by comparison but I want the frost to come to kill the bugs.

Was gonna say. I think that must be an old photo of Galice Road on the Rogue River too, since there was a big fire (Rum Creek) in that area last summer :(

Hmm, that sucks. I did just find an Elizabethan one which features a fundamental Christian gerbil with explosive diarrhea… I could drop it by your place if you’re gonna be home.

What a glorious spring day in the PNW! Rain has been falling pretty much all day here. The environment is teeming with life! Local creeks and streams are all running loudly with lots of water. The plants are green and thriving. Tim isn't posting. God is really blessing us with some beautiful things today!

I have thoroughly enjoyed making up some of the rain deficit.   A little sun at times will be enjoyable tomorrow as well.

I have only gotten back about 40% of my taste and smell from when I had it back in late November.

So apparently the laugh emoji is the new childish stamp of approval now, got it.  Anyways, actually ended up with 1.95" of rain yesterday, nice good soaking and temps in the upper 40's, perfect shorts weather!!  Slight chance of snow still in my point forecast, so some hail and diverse weather opportunities coming up for tomorrow and Wednesday, very fun and enjoyable spring that keeps on giving.
