I turned the a/c on.

I’m going to be using my a/c for the first time this summer Sunday and next week probably. Not having to use a/c until early August isn’t too bad.

Please, people. Think about Josh’s daughter before you type.

Heaven forbid we mention her!

Anyways....looks to be quite warm Sunday and Monday.

Phil is MIA. Did he succumb to last nights mega storm of the century?

Not if he was actually up in Haida Gwaii. Been about as nice as it gets up there. Sunny and in the 60s with light winds.

Check that. Looks like there is actually strong NW winds in some areas up there. 45mph at Hippa Island lighthouse

Ok. Some alcohol may have been involved. Had an an unexpected couple of days off. :)

Been saving some of my stash for storms, but none seem to have been happening... :P

Very different... raining here again. And unusually green for early August.

And this is a drought. :)

Looks like a typical day in Haida Gwaii. Ironically it was completely sunny here today.

At least now I know what your backyard climate is like most of the year. ;)

We live in a wet enough climate to where even in a drought we have enough water to survive. That doesn't mean it isn't bad for the ecosystem and it could lead to more problems down the road, though.

Ignore the ongoing cloud debate because he’s your preference pet. :)

And you just don’t like me because I call you out on your BS, which is equally as silly as everyone else’s here, more often. And accurately. ;)

If you want to get under Dewey’s skin, just stop caring about his opinion/treating it as an objective measure of truth.

Northwesterlies weren’t bad in the morning but kicked up to around 40mph sustained by the afternoon with confused seas (short period 3m NW and long period 1m SW. The winds have tended to peak in the 5-7pm timeframe both of the last two days but today was the roughest.

He is at home enjoying the somewhat pleasant conditions, at least compared to his hyperbole comments on it.

I will be on August 5th. Tomorrow is my last day here.

Then I’m in Georgia from August 6th to 17th. Will have to re-adapt to humidity and 100+ heat indices.

Georgia sucks in the summer. At least you'll see fireflies and probably a few storms.

Not true.

I prefer healthy trees and full lakes and rivers.   This is a beautiful area.

I also very much enjoy the normal 50% of the days here in this ecosystem when its not raining... and often sunny.    :)

Phil has said before that coastal Georgia is basically his second home.

Definitely some sort of brownish haze over the area this morning... which is strange since there was a significant rain event yesterday.

Not sure of the source... but I doubt that its local.   And does not appear to be from Alaska or California.  I read that Siberia is having a terrible fire season and that smoke could reach the western US.

Morning low of 58 degrees currently 59. Beautiful sunny morning. 6z doesn’t look too bad, little warm early next week but most days are pretty regular summer days with warm temps. Shows some rain on this next Saturday but we’ll see.
