Temp down to 50 after a high of 63.

Seems like alot’s been made of today’s front, but we’ve seen drops throughout the day like this multiple times during our more active springs

We liked this dramatic change of weather TOO MUCH for you.

Not sure you'll ever be ok with other people's feelings about weather.

Eh. Today will go on the books as another very warm day. Tomorrow barely gets us to average then it’s back to more ridging. Followed by another “troughy” period that’s getting more toned down by the day.

Today was fun, but it would be more exciting if it were a longer lasting crash to significantly colder or wet weather. Just my opinion.

Mom and I went to get my car's engine replaced today. At the start of the appt it was 73F and slightly breezy with mostly sunny skies. By the end it was 55F and cloudy with drizzle, and gusts of wind blowing dust into our eyes. Love the meatyorology today.

Great Spring day. A little something for everyone that should minimize complaints on this forum, one would think!

I get the trepidation going into the dry season, but spring so far has been pretty nice and variable. Enjoy it as it comes then we complain once we get to our stretch where we struggle to have many days near the old summer norms.

Drove to Seattle in a dust storm. The suddeness of the wind was remarkable. Only .01 rain here though - disappointing.

Some of these really sharp cold fronts have pretty limited moisture.  I got more like a tenth here.

The change between 1pm and 4pm was pretty fun. Would have been nice to have a little more precip with and a more robust cold pool in the wake of the front.

I hate calling people out. It makes me feel evil. But between all the constant negative reacts and the constant replies it feels like you're trying to act as forum police.

I get the climate anxiety. I get it. I feel it too.

Haha, great quote. That was one of my youngest kids favorite movies, he watched it and made me watch it too MANY times, know the whole thing pretty well now. Must've seen it atleast 30 or 40 times.

Got down to 22 this morning and peaked at 72 at 3pm, now down to 45 with an impressive 0 inches of rain and cloudy skies, my backyard is flooded. Nothing too crazy about this front east of the Cascades, we see bigger temp drops pretty often.

Hopefully we can get into the teens tonight

You are not wrong, sure the the temp drop here was cool to see but only ended up with .01 precip, LAME, and tomorrow will be back well in to the 60's again, if tomorrow could stay coolish in the 50's with some showers that would help, not a very notable event to me either, IMO.

Looking at the models, seems like winter is probably over for sunriver. We could maybe see some brief wet snow at some point in May, but it looks unlikely at this point. Estimated 91" of snow this season (can't always 100% accurately measure it because we aren't always here and our snow compacts pretty quickly), and I estimate our average is about 90 inches, give or take a dozen because I don't really know. I'd say we had a pretty good season for a strong el nino!

If it stays at 59 tomorrow instead of 60 or 61 that will make all the difference in this event.  🤔

Drove out to Ocean Shores to see family today. Amazing summer like drive and being out on the Jetty when the front rolled in was a memorable experience. We really need to do a coastal meetup when we get the next decadal storm.
