That’s interesting our roof just started leaking just now. Freaking great rooting for rain and this happens!

Yep.  Insurance company's problem as of about 90 min ago.  Roofers and water mitigation team on site by 0800 tomorrow.  I was going to do it tomorrow, but went ahead and put the thawed pork shoulder on the pellet grill a few minutes ago and will smoke her all night.  Make some tacos for the worker helpers in the morning.

Went to Lewiston this evening and visibility east of Alpowa Summit was poor. Maybe one car ahead bad. Wanted to get better photos but my son did not want to wait any longer.

Had this happen a few years back….went up to Depot and bought a can of roofing  tar and slabbed it in the area the water was penetrating. Worked like a charm but messy!  I had it all over me as well 😕

1.14 here so far today

That band must’ve been heavier on that side of the bay…we just went over 1” of rain here and over 4” for the month. Hopefully the leakage is fixed soon.

Not sure if it means anything... but the HRRR shows the plume focused more to the south early tomorrow afternoon and sinking south.

They need it more than us and I’d rather get less rain now so my darn roof stops leaking.

More than us?   We don't need any more at all... but obviously we will get more.  😀

0z has the fire hose going into Longview/Portland next 12-24 hours while things become more showery here. We could use the break before the next AR comes in.

Joshua ought to be happy! Well maybe.

Yeah the only place in Washington that was still in significant drought status was the SE corner…and they look like there getting some pretty hefty rain right now so that’ll help. Send the focus down to Oregon for awhile.

Don't know if it means anything this far out but upper level winds does suggest we get a little bit of a break from the raging pacjet about a week out from now. Which also allows some cooler air to filter in. The pacific been way too angry lately.  Chillax bro!

Even the ECMWF is having trouble... this is rain from 5-8 p.m. this evening from the 18Z ECMWF.  It shows the focus from Seattle northward.    It's actually been from Seattle southward this evening.

Have you been up there yet? Last year when we sprung a leak, I went up on the roof and found that too many leaves had collected against a skylight and was pooling water, which then found its way in. Once I removed the leaf buildup, the leak stopped. This October, we had our roof replaced and the new roof/flashing should keep us nice and dry now.

Water dripping into your home is not fun at all, hopefully it’s an easy fix.

I haven’t it’s a flat roof on an apartment building and we have no ladder tall enough here to get up there. GENIUS design here in the PNW having a flat roof. I was very worried during February 2019 when there was 2 feet of snow on the roof.

Why is Eugene in the Portland forecast zone? They barely ever mention us in the forecast discussion and there hasn’t been a blizzard in this location since like 1972. It’s been 1762 days since our last sub-freezing high for fuckk’s sake.

Absolute joke. We need our own NWS office in the south valley. The weather here does not feel like Portland…

Crazy to think that the peaks on Hawaii have had a blizzard warning more recently than NWS Seattle.

NWS LV last had one almost 14 years ago?
