Mild morning in Salt Lake City, 47 and hasn't hit freezing here since, how many days ago? :P

This is surprisingly close to Portland weather.

Missing an epic fog storm back in K-Falls right now.

0.72” now, up to 8.15” on the month. Average in November is just over 10” so we are almost there. Good to see.

So dry here... there was break in the rain yesterday evening so I got out there with the sprinklers and started watering.    Trees need way more rain than this to survive.  😀

Looks like major flooding will be avoided out here.

Yesterday morning... the flood graph showed the Snoqualmie River reaching 52 cfs this morning by 9 a.m. but its only at 15 cfs as of the last update.

Already warmer here today than it was all of yesterday.

It's very warm.  I heat with my wood stove and I have it down to a science when night time temps are normal but last night I woke up to a 80 degree house lol. It was 55 outside!! Normally when I get up at 6 it is 70 degrees and it was 81.7!!

0.89 since midnight, 2.91 for the event.

Looks like more is on the way. Lucky us.

Could be worse... light snow and 30 degrees in Sioux Falls this morning!

This is just across the border from Sioux Falls in the southwest corner of Minnesota.    Brrrrr.   I can feel that wind just by looking at this pic.  😀

Looks like our property got about 2 inches of new snow overnight.  Surprised because snow level was way up around 5500ft. This location here is 3700. We need to turn the thermometer on the pole towards camera.  This is my brother's place so we'll be setting up weather station soon.

33 years of wrenching on cars and I'm finally starting to feel it lol. I have 2 transmissions to pull today and a timing belt job on a Honda. Typical day in the office!!

Pulling a transmission is beyond my comfort level (not really set up to do it), but I did do the timing belt on my '07 Pilot.  That crank bolt was a hoot to loosen up, but otherwise it wasn't too terrible.  I need to do the timing belt on my '13 TDI next.

Hats off to you, I'm usually pretty sore for a few days after doing a big repair job.

We had zero visibility ice fog for the second day in a row. Very unusual to see in Nov as that typically happens in mid winter under a strong ridge.

In Nov 2014 I remember a couple fogs that lasted all day long in K-Falls, sun never broke through.

A few of the last handful Novembers had hardly any fog. Seems to be making up for that loss this year however.

Those crank bolts are always a turd. They make a special holder that fits inside the Harmonic balancer to hold it still.

It's a dream come true to have property in snow country.  I told my family I'd have a cabin in the mountains one day probably when I was 12 years old. Some 35 years later we did it both me and my brother.

I was around the same age when I decided that I would live at Lake Tahoe when I got older. Took me till I was 32 but was able to move up with a great job and buy a house.

Trough is more splitty on Monday on the 12Z GFS... as opposed to crashing through and pushing the rain out.    Its back to showing one of the wettest days in Seattle history again on Monday.

This is just the rain on Monday...

Yeah I got one of those and I upgraded my impact wrench.  Considering the savings of doing it myself vs taking it to a shop, I usually have a pretty healthy allowance if I need to upgrade any tools.  I want to say the TB was about $1,200-1,600 to have it done, I got the parts for about $300, dropped about $400 for a second jack, impact wrench, and a couple of other smaller or specialty tools.  I think it took me about 6 hours?  I took my time, took a lot of breaks.

On the weather front, currently 53 up here and only .10" of rain since midnight, ended up with .41" yesterday.  Quite a bit less than what folks are seeing down south.

We are at 4.19” For the event. Rain had let up when I left for work, but should start pushing south again here in a bit. We will be at average for the month by Tuesday. Everything the 2nd have of the month will be gravy.
