Skagit Weather
I'm right on the edge of the outflow up here. Sometime the temp warms up to 33F and the snow stops sticking and sometimes it begins to accumulate pretty quickly. Taking a tour of the traffic cams up here you can see that as you go towards the ocean along Highway 20 the accumulated snow rapidly increases. Probably about an additional 1/2" to 1" outside right now. 1 Quote Home Wx Station Stats (Since January 2008): Max Temp: 96.3F (2009) Min Temp: 2.0F (2008) Max Wind Gust: 45 mph (2018, 2021) Wettest Day: 2.34 (11/4/22) Avg Yearly Precip: 37" 10yr Avg Snow: 8.0" Snowfall Totals '08-09: 30" | '09-10: 0.5" | '10-11: 21" | '11-12: 9.5" | '12-13: 0.2" | '13-14: 6.2" | '14-15: 0.0" | '15-16: 0.25"| '16-17: 8.0" | '17-18: 0.9"| '18-19: 11.5" | '19-20: 11" | '20-21: 10.5" | '21-22: 21.75" | '22-23: 10.0" 2023-24: 7.0" (1/17: 3", 1/18: 1.5", 2/26: 0.5", 3/4: 2.0", Flakes: 1/11, 1/16)
BLI snowman
I'm looking forward to seeing a comprehensive list of regional snow totals once this winter is said and done. I imagine there must be some pretty insane numbers in the Central Gorge as well. I was talking to a teacher I used to work with who lives in White Salmon and she was saying the last time she measured before the last thaw she had close to 3' on the ground. I guess she has picked up another 1'+ since then. Bonneville Dam is up to 52.9" on the winter as of today. Unfortunately the Hood River station sucks and doesn't record snow now, but that area must be approaching 70" after this storm.

BLI snowman
This snow event here is likely a top 5 since I started following the weather in '90. Could go as high as 3rd depending on how things go this evening. Currently at 3" here today. How much on the ground now?

ShawniganLake
How much on the ground now?It compacted quite a bit yesterday. Sitting at probably 19-20" currently. If we get another 4-6" this evening, this week would sit pretty close to January 2005 and November 2006 locally. (If we are looking at total snow and max depth.) Going to fall short of December 2008 and 1996.

I have friends of friends who live out in the gorge, and they're saying this is the worst winter out there anyone can remember. My guess is that either 1978-79 or 1979-80 was the last time the Gorge saw a winter like this one.

VancouverIslandSouth
Epic snowstorm in Victoria right today. Heavy snow with strong north winds occassional ice pellets and blowing snow. I'd say a bit over 4" so far on the day but it's hard to tell with the wind. This is right up there with the Jan 2004 overrun for this area, but with more snow on the ground to begin with.

HighlandExperience
Sitting at 36 degrees with cold rain. Probably have 4-5 inches of snow on the ground still. Wasn't expecting it to be this cold today. Snow might last on the ground til Friday. Took a drive around the area, and most of king county has lots of slushy snow still on the ground.

Snowman5678
Snowing here again this morning and the roads are covered. School delayed again and not sure how long it will take to transition to rain out here but the sooner the better in my opinion. I am all snowed out and would like to resume a normal schedule. Its been pretty snowy up there most of this winter, right? My dad just finished a flip at 1000ft in Riverbend and all the snow this winter has kept putting them behind schedule. Front Ranger
Well, the Clearbrook COOP was officially at 39.0" for the winter as of Monday. Depth of 16". Abbotsford was at 41.8" as of Tuesday, with a depth of 18". Their snowfall records are kind of a mess, but I'm guessing they are already assured one of the top 2 or 3 snowiest winters of the past 50 years there, after today. 1 Quote A forum for the end of the world. dairyd
getting slammed tonight. the bli-ywl gradient keeps widening and the winds are spooling higher in the last hour (I saw a 55mph gust on a Lynden station). I can't' tell how much new snow because it is all sideways. Mostly whiteout here. I'm fearing the switch over to ice because the outflow is not going away, it keeps getting stronger.

Poulsbo Snowman
Snowed all day at Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor. Was cool to look out my office window and see the flakes falling, even if it didn't amount to much. Turned to rain about 4:30 or so. Nice ending to that minor event.
