ShawniganLake
Yeah I think that the upper levels may be cold enough to support some snow. Weird because that band wasn't modelled to hit Victoria, yet it's looking pretty robust.I wish it would hit here but looks a little south. Malahat will probably be a white out soon. We will have to watch for some convergence if the NE wind meets this SW flow. Could be a burst of very heavy snow with that.
MikeInEverett
The hail/graupel that fell before it turned to snow really helped out in terms of letting the snow stick. Everything in my neighborhood is white now including the road. 1 Quote (Previous name: MillCreekMike) Everett, WA (elev. 180’) 2023-2024 Snowfall: 1/11: Tr. 1/18: Tr. snow_wizard
Things seem to be unfolding right on schedule to me. After 06z all the models showed the cold air just booking it south. I think the very low dp winds blowing off the ocean is the big surprise. That eliminates any chances for rain. That will also make it hard for any areas having precip tomorrow to be much above freezing. Quote Death To Warm Anomalies!
