Only in direct sunlight and on the roads. Any north facing roof or yard still has a cupple inches. Even the north sides of trees still have snow!

Nice to see this event start to put up some impressive numbers at the surface. The duration of upper level cold is getting pretty crazy. I think we have been on either side of -10c at 850mb since early Monday morning.

Just enough snow to make it look like winter out there now and still snowing lightly.  Down to 30 degrees.  Impressively cold for sure.

For sure.  I put up a 35 / 22 today.  Not too D**n shabby.  Too bad SEA missed their record by one degree, but they should have tomorrow's in the bag.

. I can usually take your enthusiastic nature, but nothing is showing 3-6” widespread. What are you basing that forecast off of?

12z EURO showed around 3 inches widespread. From there some areas always get a little more than everybody else. 12z NAM-3km showed 7 inches for Hillsboro. I know it backed off on the 18z but still think some areas see an intense band of snow. I love what I see on radar and just my gut at the moment.

Temp has dropped 2 degrees since the 20min that I have been home. Now 30.4.

Precip hole pretty well modeled by the NAM and the ECMWF. Low level flow still coming more from the west but I expect things to fill in once the flow is more southerly. ECMWF 12z suggested things starting in the metro around 7-8 pm.

Snow line driving down the I 5 corridor started at JBLM . Winter wounderland the rest of the way. Tigard still has a little left here and there

The radar shows precip type as snow up to about 50 miles off shore.  Looks like the low center is just North of Westport not too far out.  Hopefully the SW flow ahead of that will push some more moisture into the Seattle area.

Certainly possible.  This is probably 15 to 1 snow.  I have a heavy dusting now and still snowing lightly.  Thank god this was cold enough to stick in spite of being so light.

This is what gives me confidence. Current radar and what the 18z NAM models said we would see right now. It didn't see the intense moisture developing right now off the SW WA coast.

I don't think that is the main low. It looks like it's up around center of Vancuver island.
