Maybe I’m weird but I’ve always liked the early sunsets. The long evenings can be cozy. On the flip side I’ve always enjoyed the super late sunsets on the opposite side of the year too. I enjoy dynamism when it comes to daylight length throughout the year. To me it would be strange living at a lower latitude where daylight length and sun angle are more uniform year round. I realize this is just personal preference though.
I’m trying not to focus too hard on the perma ridging being advertised in the long range and remind myself we are still in for a fun weather ride the next week or so.
Between the storm being focused further south and classic Olympic shadowing, looks like Portland will get way more rain than Seattle out of this weekend's system.
Beautiful morning here after pouring rain much of the night. Everything looks so fresh and rain washed. Picked up about 1/3” overnight with temps in the mid-40s. I imagine the northern Oregon Cascades got a good hit of snow.
Currently partly cloudy with puffy clouds around and 50 after a low of 44.
Really healthy rain reports in the area. 2.5" about 15 miles from my house. Looks like closer to 1" at my home. I'll have to check the gauge tonight. Most of these locations are in moderate to severe drought conditions too according to the latest repot.
