Previous weeklies had the west quite warm, so this means it is showing normal temps for week 3, as earlier predicted by Ventrice. The 500mb output agrees very well with the current EPS for the next 15 days with a western trough... then it slowly goes zonal for the second half of the run. Nothing too dramatic. I would not think it was a snowy pattern.
