For sure, we don’t know what the future holds. There will still be different microclimate’s similar to what we have right now. 2100 is over 75 years away!
We are quickly turning things around here in Eastern Nebraska in the rainfall department. Picked up another inch of rain with this afternoon’s storms… now over 4 inches of rain for the month of May so far. The drought is definitely on track to be completely busted here over the next few weeks. This was exactly the type of pattern change we needed around here! It is wild to think nearly one month ago we were dealing with wildfires and blowing dust.
Sunny with a high of 79 here so far. Temp has stalled with an increasing NW breeze so that may end up being the high for today.
If it weren’t for all the late spring flowers around and the general greenness of the landscape today could easily be mistaken for a midsummer day.
Looking forward to temps moving back into the more normal range for the next week or so. Although I’m sure we’ll feel the brunt of Phil’s WPAC attack at some point before the month’s over. Going to savor the upcoming cool weather while it lasts.
