Omegaraptor
I was ALMOST five when it rained at the coast in January 1980. It rained at the edge of a temperate rainforest during rainy season. I remember it snowing that day.We got a dusting a few days later...I remember my dad being pissed about that dusting accumulating on his black 1978 mint Chevy truck that he would wash twice a week and wax every month! Phil
I think I might have found it. Tough to say for sure, but if this is indeed it, then I retract my statement and would call it a tornado as well. Definitely looks at least somewhat outflow dependent, but it lasted awhile and that is close to the storm’s updraft corridor. Note the first 7-8 frames. Same timeframe, reflectivity. 2 Quote Live Weather Cam: https://www.youtube.com/live/KxlIo8-KVpc?si=xKLCFYWbZieAfyh6 PWS Wunderground https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KMDBETHE62 PWS CWOP/NOAA: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=F3819&hours=
Frontal Snowsquall
Oh I must have missed that when he posted it earlier. Pretty crazy week of weather for Portland. We had a funnel cloud pass over Tacoma last fall and it actually came pretty close to the ground when it went to the NE of here over the Kent area in a video I saw later that day. Was a tornado less than 20 miles from here just 6 months ago an F2 in port orchard.Yeah, it's been a fun week of weather down here. I wish this type of weather happened more often in the PNW. I wish this type of weather happened more often in the PNW.Hey, you got the best of both worlds. A nice thunderstorm with no heat or humidity. That combo never happens here in the summer, and it’s rare almost everywhere in the US except maybe that CO/WY/MT corridor? 2 Quote Live Weather Cam: https://www.youtube.com/live/KxlIo8-KVpc?si=xKLCFYWbZieAfyh6 PWS Wunderground https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KMDBETHE62 PWS CWOP/NOAA: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=F3819&hours=

TacomaWaWx
Yeah, it's been a fun week of weather down here. I wish this type of weather happened more often in the PNW. hasn’t been much weather excitement since the snow in early March west of the cascades. This last week has been interesting a lot of places in western WA and OR saw t-storms 6/26-6/27 and Portland got a good one today. We had our first t-storm of 2019 in Tacoma on 6/27 and numerous places saw t-storms on 6/26 as well. Probably the most active weather that’s gone on in about 4 months. 1 Quote Tacoma WA elevation 300’ Monthly rainfall-3.56” Warm season rainfall-11.14” Max temp-88 +80 highs-2 +85 highs-2 +90 highs-
