Jesse
EPS is in fairly good agreement with the operational for the long weekend, and beyond. What was shown to be sharp ridging with a deep trough digging offshore is now zonal or slightly SW flow. I think part of the reason for the big change was the trough that was progged to pump up the ridge is now being advertised as a cut off ULL that drifts to the SW out over the Pacific rather than staying near the coast. This is the sort of thing models tend to have a lot of trouble with so big future swings still would not surprise me. As we have seen with the last couple EPS runs, it is possible for even that model and its mean to waffle around quite a bit as operational runs change. GeorgeWx
What a load of crap. You are psychotic and seem to be getting worse. You are constantly playing this passive-aggressive preference war even though no one really cares any more. So many Trump-like qualities. To be fair to Jesse, your posting style is authoritarian at times. Like when you say the Gfs will be right and the Ecmwf will cave to it. You were right this time but it came off as autocratic.

Jesse
I guess the "warmer than normal" May advertised by the weather channel just ain't happening...It’s been a warmer than normal month so far. Just not the 4-5+ degrees above normal you’d like to see. PDX is +3 for May as of yesterday. The fact that you would think the month has been running cool kinda underscores how warped your expectations are.

Pretty area, especially this time of year when everything’s still green. Post pics if you can! I would suggest Cottonwood Canyon state park on the lower John Day River if you are looking for a slightly warmer and drier microclimate over there.
