There was a huge blowdown on central Vancouver Island

Doesn’t get “swallowed” so much as the anomaly changes as it advects east. Pacific air can run a negative departure over the water/coasts, but that same airmass is a warm departure farther inland where climo is cooler.

Love it. Not loving the last 2 possessions from the Dawgs. Liked the challenging the backup CB but want to see more running when up 11 pts.

We’re up to 1.86” so far this month. Overall hasn’t been a terribly eventful month…not a ton of rain and on the mild side but atleast it is feels like fall recently.

The last five days have seen a -2.2 departure on highs in Eugene... but a +2.8 departure on average temps.

A good portion of that stretch had below average 850s as well.

The PNW flipped with California.  Good for California though.  It's been twenty plus years since they've been mostly drought free.

Yeah I been thinking November 10th thru December 15th. Then El Nino conditions overall from about December 20th thru rest of winter.

We should be able to get at least one record high out of this at Sea-Tac. Wednesday is 70, Thursday is 72, and Friday is 69. All three are at risk of going down.

Well atleast we’re past October 2022s rainfall (1.87”) were at 1.89” this month.

Going to be cloudy and rainy over northern sections of the PNW.  Pretty juicy AR pointed at Vancouver Island and it has been slowly trending to the south.

I woke up this AM and all of a sudden the hues in the tree canopy are starting to change. Not sure if it was too subtle to notice before or if it really was that quick, but many trees definitely starting to make the turn now.

Oaks and beeches still deep green of course (they prob won’t turn for another month or so) but all the others have begun trending towards yellows and reds.
