hawkstwelve
Snow to the north, south, and west of me but just freezing rain and sleet here all morning. NWS has changed from 2-6 inches to now up to an inch. A little frustrating being so close to higher totals but on the bright side we've gotten enough sleet that it's turned the roads and some of the grass white. It's also blowing around in the air a little so it definitely feels like a winter day. Technically not a "white Christmas" but if you squint your eyes and tilt your head it looks like snow so I guess I'll take it!

Looks like some heavy snowfall rates right about now... @CentralNebWeather, how much do you have OTG? It was an interesting ride to my in laws this morning! Snow coming down hard and got quite a bit of drifting. If I had to guess I’m sitting between 1-2” of snow. Will see how today goes, looks like banding is setting up north and south of me.

westMJim
Merry Christmas and congratulations on those that have a white Christmas. Here in Michigan it is wall to wall a green Christmas with even locations in the UP with no snow on the ground. Houghton https://www.mtu.edu/webcams/walker/ Munising https://www.mtu.edu/webcams/walker/ and Gaylord http://www.snowmancam.com/ At the current time it is cloudy and 56 here in MBY. The official reading for Grand Rapids is now at 54. That 54 is the 4th warmest ever for Christmas at Grand Rapids if my 56 was official that would be the 2nd warmest ever. 1

Clinton
0z HRRR stalls the low over central Missouri putting KC into a deformation band for quite some time. @KTPmidMO if and where the low stalls will determine where the snow falls. Marginal temps on the east side of the low could cut into accumulations. There is no kicker system so this cut off low could certainly stall definitely something to watch.

It's on the heel of 2 other lows in the same region, I think there's going to be a disappointing amount of dry air. CentralNebWeather
Snowing as hard right now as it has all day. We’ve gotten several more inches this evening. No local reports yet on amounts. I’d think 5-6” so far as of 9pm, but that is a guess. Have quite a bit of drifting around the neighborhood, some that are 2-3’ deep. Several more inches overnight is forecasted. Shouldn’t be much tomorrow, though I’ve seen forecasts of 1-2”, but now they are mentioning freezing rain on top of the snow. Never got those early fantasy amounts that the models showed of 10-15”, but it’s been a solid storm.
