Interesting loop from the 18Z ECMWF... running 24-hour snow totals through Monday morning.   Look at the Sierras!

Moisture looks like it is getting ate up by some drying or something.

WTF is with the dry slot for the Puget Sound area?  Certainly not panning out so far.

Idk, must be down slope drying from Olympics.  There will be a huge shower rolling towards me and poof it just fizzles.

The HRRR has proved to be worthless. Now time to just watch radar.

For once, there is almost as much precip available as the HRRR has shown, the willamette valley got hammered today. I'd say Salem could get a lot of snow if it gets cold enough, maybe not 11" but quite a bit. Might be too warm though.

Moisture is rotating in but being pulled to the NW as it moves around the trough.   So it looks healthy coming into our area but then sort of fades.   Models show this generally continuing for the next couple days.   There is a solid wave that moves through early tomorrow afternoon but that will probably be wasted during daylight hours.  Another one comes in tomorrow night but it appears to split as it approaches.

Showers are having no problem holding together as they push into the valley. If anything they get stronger as they move across. Could be an interesting night.

Temperature is going to be the bigger issue tonight/tomorrow morning. Been getting plenty of rain over the last 4 hours.

Radar does look promising for hills around Puget Sound. Probably a mix below 300 feet with stickage staying above about 500 feet though. 36 here now.
