61/36 here so far.  From what I've seen Tacoma isn't good for the big diurnal spreads.  McChord is a lot better though.

Yeah we’re right on the water here, as is Tacoma Narrows. McChord and Ft Lewis are farther away and a bit more rural.

72 at SLE. Today's record high is 75. They could do it. Go figure. Yet another record high in a rapidly warming climate. Absolute NIGHTMARE HEAVEN in progress.

Record highs in spring are amazing as long as the snowpack is okay, it's the record highs in summer that actually suck. Today is absolute heaven!

Looks like we briefly hit 65. So blessed to be avoiding this heat. Nice to see Jesse out hiking in the heat today, while our favorite warm weather poster just sits around.

I have walked around a bit.   Challenging to deal with uneven terrain though.

A light wind and 74 at Rockaway today.  Just incredible

Sure.  I bet the coast is 74.   So stupid.   Next you will tell me it's 76 in North Bend WA not near any bodies of water.   It's all Impossible.

In other news... Our turkey population is exploding up here. Long timers say they had never seen turkey up here until a couple years ago. The Willamette Valley has insane numbers of turkey, I've even seen them in downtown and north Salem recently. What's the turkey situation like up in W. Washington?

Can't answer for Western WA but they are pretty common in the foothills of the Blues where I live. My son is obsessed with turkeys. No idea where it came from.

Make that 77 in North Bend and 78 at Snoqualmie Ridge exit.   Clearly see the effects of downsloping off the Cascades with the temps cooling as you go west.

You can't have one or another. Record highs in the summer or spring are record highs, torching begets more torching.

Uneven terrain is still a big hazard with scooters... and I plan to be walking before I need to go that route.

This looks like it will end up almost exactly like the March 2019 warm spell... that peaked at 79 in North Bend on 3/20/19.

We had another warm snap to close the month that year. Should see a better crash this year. That was horrible too. It's like punishment for having seasonal weather for a few days to start the month. We can never win in this torching climate.

72 at Hoquiam... for the first 70-degree day of the year.    What is unique about there is that today will likely be warmer than 80% of the days in the summer there.    At SEA today is probably cooler than 80% of the days this summer.

A gross 73 here. A fukin hate this crap in march and I couldn't make my Alaska trip because of issues with leaving work.  Locking myself inside my shop at home where it's cool and working on some projects.

Not sure how hard it is to wait for the return of temps in the 40s and 50s while being outside enjoying temps in the 60s at your house.  Sounds like you really have a hard life there Andrew.   Prayers coming your way.

Sunny and 60 here in Bend. I’m glad we didn’t jump straight into the 70s. Feels plenty warm as it is after building up that cold tolerance through winter.

This happens across all of the northern US at times in March.   Minneapolis was in the 70s already.   New York City was 74 yesterday.    Its how spring works at this latitude.  Ebb and flow and battle grounds.    It was happening 1,000 years ago too.   Its not a big deal.   Nor is wet snow in April which is unusual but has happened in the last few years.

To each their own, Enjoy the projects!

Currently an amazing 71 degrees here, feels absolutely perfect! Been out working in the yard getting some much needed vitamin D and exercise after a not so great winter of stress, sadness, and non stop busyness. Just be thankful you don’t live in places down in the south that are already seeing 90’s!

What we are seeing right now is a complete climate change disaster. Every year we hit the 70s earlier and transition to summer by the end of April... If we are lucky, one of these years summer will start by spring break.
