I'm feeling cool April vibes this year. They usually come in chunks w/ -PDO regimes like the one we're in. Chances are next Spring will also be cool w/ this impending Niña potentially still breathing by then. After that it could be another 2-3 in the next half decade or so before April troughing goes into remission once more.

Love cool Aprils. Usually sunny and Spring-y with lots of fun convection. Speaking of, the next couple weeks would be a killer thunderstorm setup for the PNW in July, specifically given the pattern over western North America.

Entire household has been coughing for a few months now so decided to look in the ductwork.

Oh.    My.    Fooking.    God.

Yes, that is all mold. Underside of every vent in the house is smothered in it. Must be in the HVAC system. Can’t believe I’ve been breathing this shit in for god knows how long.

Stop complaining, us west coasters have entire walls, windows, ceilings, air ducts, COVERED in an inch thick of mold, but you don't hear us complaining. Put on a mask and cheer up.

I bet it’s coating the ducts throughout the house. Shone a flashlight up some of the vents and it’s all up in there.

As if that weren’t enough, I discovered our AC is leaking refrigerant while investigating the above.

Fuuuuck this is going to be expensive.

Hey all, just wanted to remind you all to take care of your self everyday.  We had the biggest scare of our lives on Tuesday morning, we thought I was having a heart attack, heart rate approaching 200 bpm, heavy breathing, chest pain... it ended up not being one after a 911 call, ambulance ride and hours of tests in the ER.  Apparently my body has been fighting some stuff since I got over covid in February that I was not aware of and the previous day I had a stomach bug that severely dehydrated me even though I was pounding water to offset it, all that along with life stress and work stress caught up with me and I had a major anxiety attack that mimicked a heart attack, plus I have a little pneumonia going on as well that i was not aware of.  I am on a massive load of antibiotics and on a get as much rest as possible regime through the weeken.  It was scary, my wife and daughter handled everything like champions, but god D**n, I was so effing scared.

Be awesome  weirdos, today was a nice day of drizzle and temps in the 50's.

Yikes just saw this. Glad you’re up and kicking, man! Sending u healing vibes. 🙏

I had an anxiety attack sitting in class many years back. Most random thing ever, one minute I was fine, the next my heart is beating out of my chest, my extremities are numb, and I’m pouring sweat like Niagara Falls. For no reason at all. Has never happened before or since.

Truly thought I was dying, but didn’t want to embarrass myself so I just laid my head down on the desk and accepted my fate. After a few minutes it stopped, thank god. But I was absolutely drenched in sweat, clothes soaked through. I’m sure everyone there thought I was a heroin addict in need of a fix. 😂

Go CATS Go!  My son graduated from MSU, 4th generation (or maybe 5th) on my wife's side of the family.  His Great Grandfather got a Civil Engineering degree after serving as a B17 pilot in WW2 then went on to take over the family ranch.  His bail stacks were always very precise LOL.  His brother was a Rhodes Scholar from there.

My wife grew up in Corvallis and her mom did all her post grad work at OSU, and growing up in Georgia, I am a big UGA fan.  My brother graduated from Clemson, so I like to root for them as well.

I don't have any skin in the game in Washington, but following my tendency to align with the ag oriented school, I prefer WSU over UW.

I had the same thing happen twice in my life, except both times I ended up passing out briefly. The first time was junior year of high school, I ended up waking up face down on the classroom floor with the teacher shaking me. A bit mortifying and definitely scary.

Yeah. Each run just slashed totals from the last. Pretty pathetic.

Now just hoping it'll be dry enough this weekend for decent skiing despite temps in the mid 30's. Euro and GFS are both pretty dry during the day both days.

Tracking anything of interest has felt like sort of an exercise in futility the last several days. Everything has been falling apart as it approaches verification time with some days trending several degrees warmer just 48 hours out or so.

Looks like a +4 departure at PDX on Wednesday and a +8 departure yesterday. This is after four days in a row of departures of +10 or greater. They are now running +1.5 for the month as the comparatively meek negative departures the first week of the month have been completely erased.

My condolences Chris. I’m glad you are better now!
