The upcoming pattern is not necessarily far from delivering some winter weather to folks, but past performance is often indicative of the future in this climate. We know winters, even Ninas can just completely fail like this. Even though we have not had a good/great regional winter since 2016/17, we have had a lot of things break our way to salvage a couple of those winters. er In our climate fine details make a huge difference. A few tweaks to Tuesday night's system and the Portland area could see some snow, but precip looks pretty light, it's hard to imagine that producing more than flakes in the air to a dusting. Maybe there is still some potential next weekend. At the end of the day though, we have winters like this.
