Still think PDX gets some snow as temps cool off, but this run seems better than the 06Z at least.

Not a great trend for PDX. Still good for western WA. Temps look slightly warmer to start but then cool down by Hr66. Still would be good enough for snow.

I’m going out later after the 12z Euro to stock up. Do not want to be in the grocery stores when they finally issue that Winter Storm Watch.

Good idea, probably gonna do that too before the media sends the words out and there’s a mad rush to the stores.

Not even a major shift north at all by any means but definitely a bit more north. I don’t really see this system shifting too much more at this point as were now ~48 hours out. Probably time to hit the stores and stock up.

Dew points looks to be upper 20s at the start. Temps marginal, but with those Dew points should still be good.

Kind of funny people run out to the store for a two day event. But to each their own. I'm sure virtual classes will be canceled Friday. lol

Tacoma/Olympus south looks to get clobbered. That generally area may be the clear winner.

Where’s Olympus? Lol yeah seems like the south sound may do pretty good and make up for last years debacle.

Honestly, if you live in the Seattle area, don't feel bad about PDX/Oregon getting left out. It happens. Enjoy your snow and ignore our whining.

It’s other people panic rushing to the store that makes me want to make sure I’ve got stuff for a couple days. Tbh I doubt this event lasts into next week...probably will be some decent travel issues Thursday-Sunday though.

I know and folks in the lowlands aren't used to it. It just makes me smile because I drive up and down a giant hill in the snow all winter some years.

Yep, I run a FB page in Olympia with 60,000+ followers and began to put the word out this morning after seeing the overnight runs. I’ve seen enough, I am anticipating quite the event.

We’re 48-72 hours out...things probably aren’t going to dramatically change from what we’re seeing on the models currently. Even before these runs lots of the Seattle Mets and the NWS SEA seemed onboard.

With the GFS falling in line this morning I did send out a message to my friends saying that if...
1. You can't/hate driving in any amount of snow, and
2. You have prescriptions or food that you must have, and
3. You were planning to get those Thursday or Friday...

then, you should think about getting that errand done today or tomorrow morning. LOL

But I am sure all they heard was "Sean said Snowpocalypse!!!!" lol

Actually doesn't look that bad. Seems like a January 1998 type event though with a very defined gradient.
