The 12z EPS control run essentially aborts the idea of prolonged WPAC forcing and has returned to a more niña-like convective state by the end.
Would be hilarious if that is the ultimate outcome given the observed tendencies since 2013.
1.03" so far. The nice thing about the rain today is that I got proof that all the work I did is going to pay off. My old clay soil yard would have tons of standing water on it which would remain for up to 36 hours after the rain stopped. I would get standing water after 0.3-0.4" of rain in a day.
After my adding about 13 yds of top soil and re-seeding, there was standing water from about mid-day on, but as soon as the rain tapered off it all drained off.
