The Euro is hands down the worst model when it comes to tropical cyclone tracks. Like totally unusable. Maybe doesn't relate at all, but I wonder if it has a similar issue with mid-latitude, cold core cyclones.

Quite the NYE cold shot on the 00z CMC accompanied by a bit of snow.

I'd maybe file this in the unlikely category. Canadian system plunging into South Carolina would be kind of cool though.

Though I'm tentatively sticking with the Euro, it has missed on these classic track windstorms before and we'll have to see what the ensemble looks like.

00z AIGEFS remains firmly west with basically every single member. New GEM is running now, curious to see what that says.
