I'm not so sure about summer.  As I've mentioned before there are places on the globe where summer has actually been cooler this century.  The NW shows about the largest increase of anywhere.  Much more to it than meets the eye.  It's partially a temperature distribution issue.

Looks like SEA is running 15 lower than PDX right now.  We lucked out for the first day of September.  I'm really surprised the marine layer didn't have more punch down south.
