I wonder what kind of sentence that this judge will give Trump.
I saw that only about 10-20% of felonies of this class result in jail time. Trump has some things going for him such as no prior record and his age. But there's also some things against him like his antagonizing of the judge and there is no universe where he will show remorse (even faking it) at sentencing. Not going to be shocked if the judge hands down some kind of confinement, whether at Mar-a-Lago or in New York. I can think of worse living conditions than Mar-a-Lago, so perhaps the judge may want to put him somewhere else. The next thing is whether the sentence would take effect immediately or be paused while the appeals play out. If Trump is immediately under some kind of confinement, boy what turmoil will that cause in this country and it would perfectly feed in to the idea of election interference that he often talks about.
No idea... because the reality is that most of them want to live on the streets and make their own rules. Not all of course. But a majority do not want assistance and do not want follow rules in shelters or in transition housing. Seattle Times did a ride along during a sweep last year and everyone was offered shelter and 100% of the people refused. Presumably because they would have to follow rules and would not be allowed to do drugs out in the open.
