Also 69 at OLM. Probably had an interhour 70 reading too, which would be their latest 70 on record.

 

10/31 - 11/4, 1949 managed four 70+ days at OLM, culminating with a 74 degree day on 11/4. Really puts this little heat spike to shame.

Little heat spike? Most places are running five to ten degrees above average for the month so far.

27 days until the earliest sunset is reached and it was in the mid 70s here today.

 

This is the opposite of what it feels like in late May when its 50 degrees and raining and you know the days will start getting shorter in a few weeks.

I'm feeling a long, chilly spring next year. Probably a more likely way to "make up" for this than a blockbuster cold and snowy month.

KLMT reached 69 degrees for a high! This surpasses the record of 65 in 1978. My warmest November day I have personally experienced so far since moving here after Thanksgiving 2010.

Yeah, very similar. 850mb temps look exactly the same around +13c. 500mb heights about 1dm lower and 500mb temps 4 to 5c cooler.

Pretty impressive that PDX reached 68 degrees despite a low-level east wind. 

 

66 on 11/12/1974 is the only similar example I could find, this deep into fall.
