Yeah December 1948 was pretty similar up here...A little wetter and a little colder, but a fair analog.

I'm sitting at 700' in eastern Washington County. Probably too low for anything but those showers should hit us too. Current temp is 36.

Fairbanks can get hot in summer.  I've been there when it's been in the low 90's...

Quite a bit more moisture heading over the coast range now, hopefully it sticks together and we can at least see a little bit of accumulations. At the very least, it's a fun thing to track on Christmas Eve!

November didn't torch in 1948, but yeah it has been similar since the start of December. Hopefully January 2017 isn't as moisture starved as January 1949

Even w/o humidity low 90's can feel hot, especially after surviving one of those winters...
