Phil
D10-15 EPS continues the retrogression signal, and remains amplified across the NPAC. Not seeing much zonal flow on the individual members, rather they're just differently-timed retrogressions and re-amplifications . Gradient Keeper
12:52 PM Columbia Basin cold pool updateThe cold pool is flexing its muscles today as it strengthens from roughly the central Gorge eastward throughout the Columbia Basin where temps are still stuck in the upper 20s to low 30s. Temperatures compared to 24 hours ago many locations in Gresham, Troutdale, and throughout the Gorge are running 4 to as much as 11 degrees colder than yesterday. Additionally the cold air has thickened up above the Gorge as Three Corner Rock(3450') and Augspurger(2990' across from Hood River) are staying cold in the mid 20's which is down 5 degrees from yesterday.

Karl Bonner
Today would be THE day to visit just about any town on the OR or WA coast. A strong "Riviera Effect," with sunshine, easterly flow and relatively low humidity, covered the entire coastline today. Brian_in_Leavenworth
Do we even bother with the 18z? Yes/No ? Tropica Tidbits says no. Stuck on hour 150. Working on Pivotal. In other news, the Canadian model is finally out. Breaks the pattern down, sort of, but nothing exciting. The flat ridge to the West the other models have is further north, so we still stay dry. Also, the JAMA was starting to look interesting at hour 192, as far as it goes, and the GFS 18Z looks very similar at about the same hour
