Iowawx
The back edge is just about to lift through Cedar Rapids, and it may remain north for a while.Still quite a bit of snow in South Dakota and Nebraska to move in later tonight into tommrow morning. Some heavy bands out that way.

WBadgersW
MKX still keeping me in the 3" range. They mentioned the storm is a bit more North than they thought, but the speed is going to keep amounts down.

james1976
25-30 DBZ all along highway 20 right now. Pounding. I'm just barely hanging onto the north edge of it. I'm getting barely 20 DBZ right now.
james1976
That crush band is literally 5 miles south of me. 5 miles! 30 DBZ 5 miles from me.So many thread the needle story lines with this storm.

bud2380
All week models showed this band would sink south as it progressed. But now that it’s here it just not happening and models now should this moving straight east. I’m more annoyed that school cancelled at 6pm the night before for 1” of snow instead of just waiting until morning to see that it didn’t snow. james1976
Still very happy though......not complaining! Still pounding here pretty good and very lucky to be on the edge of the heavy band. 20 miles south of me is literally nothing. Ill get a measurement at 10:00. hlcater
I don't get why the news mets don't just tell people there is gonna be a weenie band with the heaviest amounts with a razor sharp cutoff. Broadbrushing the amount of snow expected in the weenie band does no good. Leads to misinformation. 1 Quote 2021-22 Snowfall: (Hiawatha) TOTAL: 10.2" (12/28: 3.0") (12/29: 0.8") (1/1: 6.4")
