06Z ECMWF says we get 4 days in a row around 60 or better going through Sunday now.   After the chilly start this morning... it shows much warmer lows in the east wind areas.   Might stay above 40 out here the next 3 nights while the wind protected areas see frost each night.

The 00Z EPS was drier than normal over the next 15 days... but the last 5 days of the run are actually wetter than normal.

Southern California might finally dry out. Looks like BC will have the highest fire danger. Also would not be surprised to see a day or two later this spring when Fairbanks is warmer than Palm Springs.

Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

With climate change and extreme blocking patterns becoming the norm, it may end in both

Even if PDX hits 60 today it'll still be around 2 degrees below average.

According to RODNEY HILL that would be 24 straight below average days!

Sort of puts into perspective the whining and rationalizing about it from some. I think some posters here must dream fondly of living in Narnia under the reign of the White Witch.

I don't remember when I started posting in here, but I remember reading the forum when I was in college and @Black Holewas still in high school and you were Jesse-Orchards on Mark's blog.

Yeah I came on here in January 2007. I started on Marks blog in maybe Nov 2005, right after we started it. I graduated in 2007 so still in high school and quite dumb and immature. I've come a long ways! lol

Got as low as 18 degrees a few miles east of the Stevens Pass summit when I went through there a bit ago. Currently here in Wenatchee it’s 37 and bright!! Oh and a bright moon as I was leaving my driveway this morning.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

That's really impressive. Only got down to 35, must've been a breeze or something

You live on the west side of the west hills correct? Sometimes the terrain can help mix down the east wind in that area while other spots stay calm.

Cool to see. Beautiful spot. First went down there in 2003 on a family vacation. Then my brother dated a girl from Carson City, NV and lived down there from 2008-2010, so made a few visits around that time.
