TT-SEA
One of the big trees that fell here during the windstorm. I assumed building our new garage exposed trees that had been protected all of their lives and they would be susceptible in the next windstorm. The same thing happened when we built our house in 2004. The new trees that come up next will be much stronger. Phil
But we exposed them by clearing other trees. It was inevitable.Oh, I thought you said you were going to plant more. If you do, I’d try a taper line by species perpendicular to the prevailing wind to relieve crown pressure. Softwoods grow much better when they shelter one another in close proximity (I might be preaching to the choir here). Brian_in_Leavenworth
It's ridiculous. What interesting weather have we seen this winter except 1/6/19 so far?Ask the people in North Puget Sound if they had any interesting weather. I am sure they will respond, that is if they have had their power restored after the biggest windstorm in more than 10 years. But it is an El Nino year, whether it becomes official or not, so you can't realistically expect anything that interesting.
