Yeah I think ICON will be better but still will landfall somewhere far north on the OR coast.

Just a raw, wet, nasty day here with a snow / rain mix falling.  Currently 38 after a brief high of 43.  Another well below normal day with a 43 - 30 range.

18z ICON less of a big North outlier. Looks like it will be a good hit for Puget Sound in the next few frames.

 

 

Some really epic looking runs for Seattle from the NAM, ECMWF, and now ICON.  I just hope we can hold onto the cold at least well into Tuesday.

Yeah but then the low cuts back down SE through PDX before moving off East. The ICON is trending in the right direction at the moment.

Yes an improvement, but the previous ICON runs were so horrific. Does look like the landfall location will range from Newport to Astoria now based on all the other models.

You’ve also seen lots of snow already this month and are comfortably far north for pretty much any solution.

The ECMWF still has some moisture at that time.  Anything after midnight Saturday night should easily be snow.

I just can't wrap my head around another huge storm for Seattle.  It's looking really possible though.

Someone else pointed out on twitter that the QPF ration might be less than 10:1, so that could mean a lot less snow, but it is also possible that if the winds stay offshore, that would help you guys.  And time of day will make a difference.  But there have been big snowstorms later than this, so anything is possible.
