I hated hitting lefties, and he had a nasty fastball that ran in on my hands. BTW, his coach at WSU wore a d**n batting helmet in the 3rd base coaching box too. I never realized he was such an amazing pitcher. I see he we 23-2 his first two years in college. Not overpowering(low 90's) but great control and 4 pitches he had complete control over. This was also in the era of insane offense at the collegiate level.
