SilverFallsAndrew
Yep. There were some incredible thunderstorms when I worked up there as a fly fishing guide. Most of them were fairly dry too. That would have been an amazing experience. jakeinthevalley
That would have been an amazing experience. There was one that was right on top of us and we had to get off the river and wait it out. Still was hard to convince our dudes to not sneak in some casts from the shore. I guess when you pay $4000 for a week long trip, you think nothing of waving a 9' fly rod around in an electrical storm!!

Omegaraptor
18z GFS is essentially a toned down version of the 12z. High rainfall over all of BC, half an inch for most of Western WA, and measurable rain down to Siskiyou County. Okanogan and Ferry counties look real wet with the 12z and 18z. Funny how Okanogan County was actually the first significantly drier than normal region back in February and March. Those counties, while rural and sparsely populated, are still fire hotspots. If we can get a good soaking there, that’s definitely good news.

Anti Marine Layer
All the troughing is courtesy of the huge ridge over Alaska. Blocking at its finest. Remember 2010. San Diego averaged below 70 in July for the high and most summer days inland felt like warm days in late May or early June where the sun came out at a decent time. I remember PNW summer was pretty crappy that year as well. Rest of the country baked in record heat. Blocking at its finest
