TT-SEA
Caught the end ( tv) of the Boeing Golf Classic out there at Snoqualmie and looked very dark! Surprised meIt was off to the east for the most part... towards the Cascades. It made for spectacular scenery. I took a pic of the TV when I turned it on because my son was following Fred Couples around the course today and he had just got to the 18th green. Freddie is tearing it up... -16 after 2 rounds and a five stroke lead heading into the final round. My son works there and has access to everything. He can also golf for free at that course whenever he wants and he has been playing maybe 3 or 4 times a week lately and having a blast. Side note... the announcers have been repeatedly saying how wet it has been here and how soft the greens are as a result. That is playing a major role in the low scores as well. Frontal Snowsquall
Salmon Creek where my folks are had 2" going into that event. Enough to keep it white through the whole week. Then over a foot there with the February storms. Areas away from the strong outflow did much better that winter. It's crazy how localized that event was. I think Steve Pierce also lives in that area. Remember him posting pictures of his snow. Yeah, I did okay out here on the east side but not as good as other places. Still did decent after combining all the 3 snowstorms that February. Frontal Snowsquall
Check this out! Major cooling along the West Coast while the warmest SST anoms are pushing further offshore. Not surprisng when you consider the much higher surface pressure that has developed over the NE Pacific in recent days. I like the prospects for farily chilly weather (in relation to normal) in the near future. No matter how you slice it we have a highly elevated chance of seeing a decent winter this year. Just based on solar alone we are in fantastic company. Now that ENSO has come around and the warm water over the NE Pacific has begun to shift westward we're in great shape.Loving your enthusiasm for this winter! Hopefully we won't have to wait until February like the last 2 winters and we can score in December.

Pretty cool that your son has that access. I played in my company tournament this afternoon, and between the rain Wednesday, Friday, and the drizzle/rain today the greens were quite soft up here as well. At least it was cool. For a while it was getting into mid-upper 80's on tournament day. Absolutely miserable since it is a links style course with no trees/shade whatsoever. 1 Quote Britton Rd Bellingham Weather Station: https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KWABELLI103?cm_ven=localwx_pwsdash
