I hope this whole experience reminds some of you to not rush to tell family/friends/co-workers that an arctic blast is coming after several runs showing an arctic blast, wait until an hour before it hits, then spill the beans. I think some here jinxed it by talking about it too soon.

I have the flu and it doesn't feel good.

 

Fortunately there was only a light dusting here and not enough to make a snow monster.

Yes. Go outside and collect a full bucket of snow. Dump it in a pot and bring to a boil. Use that boiled snow to make a hot cup of tea with a drop of honey.

Yeah the heater isn’t smart if you’re already running a fever. Plenty of fluids and Oxy.

Drink your way out of it. My theory is that the alcohol will help kill the bug and also you'll have plenty of fluids flowing through you. Good luck.

Yeah looks nice. 5 inches in downtown Seattle by 11AM.

 

Although comparing to the NAM and HRRR, it doesn't start the snow until after midnight while the other two start it about 4-5 hours earlier.

Go to instcare and get tamiflu. It will reduce the amount of time it takes to recover. Flu is bad this year

I think he has some backup snowballs in the freezer for just such an occasion. Might have to bust those out STAT before his blood pressure drops below critical levels.

Probably too late for the Tamiflu to do much. I took that once years ago...The nightmares I had after two nights straight was enough for me to never touch that stuff again.

Coconut oil. Kills bacteria and viruses. Be sure to use raw expeller cold pressed, not the kind for cooking with high heat..
