March 2020 Weather Discussion for the PNW

Recommended Posts

Enjoying this sunny Sunday before snowmageddon arrives next week. This sun with some old beer feels so d**n good!

You have old beer?

I am actually enjoying a cold beer in the warm sun here. It's amazing how warm 50 degrees and sunny with no wind feels in March. :)

And I am making noise with my electric leaf blower... but my neighbor is burning dead trees today from their construction so they can't complain.

Now that is a peeve of mine especially when people don’t know how to properly burn and let it smolder for days at a time.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

cliff Mass doesn’t think winter is over either. Hopefully we see something even if it’s marginal!

I’m not going to be upset if we see some snow or chilly weather...but it’s sucks we couldn’t have a set up like this potential one a few weeks earlier.

Now that is a peeve of mine especially when people don’t know how to properly burn and let it smolder for days at a time.

Speaking of which, they’re doing a series of controlled burns down on the Fauquier/Stafford county line and it destroyed our air quality today. The smell was overwhelming.

Why the f**k they’d attempt this during a subsidence inversion is beyond me.

I have not mowed yet.

But I could.

I do need to weedeat as well.

And spread bark.

And put up a fence.

And construct a playground set for the kids.

And clean up the veggie garden.

And pressure wash the deck.

And wash my truck for the first time in 2020.

Nice weather today and yesterday, and now I have the crud.

Someone touched the ball washer on 11 tee that has Corona 19...And then you washed your ball...Game over.

But there is no ball washer on #11...

D**n...I guessed wrong.

Anyway it’s already down to 33 degrees. Going to be a chilly night!

46/34 day today...haven’t hit freezing since 3/1 might be able to do it the next couple mornings.

Yeah, with clearing skies and a cool dry airmass it wouldn’t surprise me if we got in the upper 20s tonight. Maybe the next few nights.

We were walking around North Portland near the St. John’s Bridge this afternoon and it felt pretty chilly out of the sun. There was a brisk NW wind at times.
