April 2020 Weather discussion for the PNW

Maybe everyone will be wrong and there’ll be a nationwide cool summer like 1964.

That’d be awesome.

I bet you would love a entire summer of temps in the upper 70s and low 80s. I would too!

You cheer for below normal and I cheer for a little above normal. And we cheer for the same tangible weather. ;)

I'm sorry, but these snapshots are much too clear. Please be sure to blur them more next time. Thanks!

This is the best that I can do. Ever since my phone did an update the zoomed in screen shots have been way too clear. ☹️

I made some new walking trails in our woods today, what a nice day for it! Currently 49 degrees after a high of 59.

At least the nights cool off quickly even with warming days this time of year. Down to 49 here.

You mean all times of year? Y’all have a huge diurnal cycle out there.

Especially in the summer?

Some potential for a pattern change toward day 10 in the Euro.

But the models have been a mess beyond day five or so lately. It really does seem that accuracy has dropped off in the last month or so thanks to less flight data.

00Z EPS stays warm... sort of the opposite of late March when it just stayed cold.  Now everything has shifted east a little.  Amplified patterns cut both ways.   I am sure it will flip back again soon enough.

Yeah, I'm not expecting spring to be totally dry. We should switch back to troughy weather sometime before summer.
