Gorgeous sunset from Mt Tabor park. Lots of big, downed trees on the north and east side of the park from our ARCTIC WINDS three weeks ago. But honestly the damage wasn’t quite as bad as I feared. I guess the historic shelter took a pretty good hit but that part of the park was cordoned off.
I was intrigued so I looked up the average high and low temperatures across WA for August of 1899. Olga's average low of 45F is pretty impressive as it's about 4 degrees colder than anything we've seen in the last 50 years. The fact it's so much colder than every other location on the west side does make me wonder if there was an error with the thermometer at that time or maybe it was just incredible cold winds blowing off the straight.
The Seattle average high for the month was almost 10 d
No harm in comparing the POV of each and this has been a lackluster campaign all around.
We need some sparks to fly. The dull economy would be a good place to start.
The DFW area is still growing. A lot a disillusioned west coasters. I hate the traffic. Many adapt well, but some try to shame us for our culture. I say join or die, as the colonists said to the British, or just go somewhere else.
I love Flagstaff. I recall when it was very small and no crowds. A family member had a cabin there.
We need to get back to Tucson. I fear it will be for a funeral. But need to visit with everyone while they’re here. So sad to see it change.
DFW area is gorgeous right now High at 90, breezy, not a cloud to be seen.
Some rain would be welcomed soon But it’s a gorgeous day today Golfers practically skipping down the course.
Really nice to see this general pattern might be setting in for at least the remainder of the month. Good balance to some of the big warm and dry spells we saw in mid-March, throughout April and the middle of this month.
Ended up with a 59/44 yesterday when all was said and done, with some RAPID late evening clearing and cooling.
Mostly cloudy with some showers and sunbreaks at times so far today. Low of 44 around midnight. On the cool side with a temp of 51 at the moment. Had a couple moderate showers move through earlier this morning dropping about .05” of rain.
