If one was looking forward to 2 weeks of fogversion they will be disappointed. If one was looking forward to 2 weeks of dry weather in December...Bummer on that one too.

We finally sold our old 1998 Forester on Craigslist last month. A retired Subaru mechanic ended up buying it. Was happy to see it go to a good home.

I love my 2012 Legacy and it’s one of the more reliable cars I’ve owned. Plus, with the 4 wheel drive I love driving it in the snow. Lol.

Everyone had smiles from old to young.   Adrenaline rush afternoon at Crown Point! Love how people casually walk from the wind sheltered parking area to the exposed wind fields.  Giggles and laughing by all as the wind does it’s best to topple us.

I totaled my car at 17 nearly took out a tree but avoided injury. Probably the best case scenario since it woke my stupid a** up about the responsibilities of driving.

38 here. I put the thermometer in what looks to be the coldest part of my yard. The sun never hits anywhere close to it.

Each one is different. They definitely correspond with tight baroclinic zones, but that can mean cold air moving south or warm air moving north (think February 1996 or mid January 1974). In some cases it's just both branches of the jet basically colliding overhead (January 2012, November 1996). Doesn't really tell you a lot about the near future by itself.

48 this morning followed by a very balmy 57 today.  Felt like spring especially as the wind calmed down.  Down to 44 now and I hope with the dewpoint in the 20s it can drop to freezing or below before midnight.

IIRC there were some pretty big torches on either side of December 1919, 24, 64, 72.

Of course the '64 flood is pretty much the benchmark event for most of OR and northern CA.

I was a late bloomer when it came to totaling a vehicle. My one and only accident happened a week before 9/11/01 at the age of 24!
