December to Remember for everything but cold and snow

IF this verified, December 2025 would go down as an absolutely legendary weather month for the PNW. Incredible rain totals (I'm at 25"+ for the month), devastating flooding, and regional windstorm. On par with 2006 with the November flooding and December windstorm, but all in one month?

Something just feels off with that euro run.

Yup, we had several warm ups from clippers that winter season which tracked north of the area here in Chicago that ruined what would have been some deeper snow depths. I recall going out on NYE and there wasn't much snow OTG and then we got hit by 2-wave frontal boundary systems that traversed the lower lakes. In fact, come to think of it, the map that @hawkstwelveposted above may be a synchronistic sign that something along those lines happens as an arctic front makes its way south along with some snowfall.

I remember the Inauguration Day storm, but I was in elementary school, so too young to know how big the gusts got. A tree came down near us, when we were at the bus stop, and we were without power for 7 days, I think? I lived in Fredrickson at the time, right up against the Boeing plant thats out there. Or was out there...? Was a big one for sure.
