One of our own #wawx members is recovering from a pretty bad bout of Covid. He's been in the community for a decade plus now, I've talked with him on Twitter since I joined the platform.

My father is 72 and still working full time running a library district. It’s not a physical job, but he commutes and hour each way and manages a staff and a multimillion dollar budget. He’s retired twice only to back out at the last minute. He has high blood pressure and cholesterol and takes medications for that and Afib, but he’s in pretty good physical shape overall. He’s at an age where he could go at any time, but at the same time could easily have another good 15 years.

High blood pressure, cholesterol/triglycerides, numerous other issues that Americans battle - like diabetes, dementia, kidney or lung issues all hanging around our doors waiting to jump us. We’ll all have something in our 70’s.
I’ve only known 1 person with none of these and lung cancer hit them at about 82.
I don’t think they want us to live that long. Too much of a strain on their actuarial tables! And social security.
