For the last time...we will be in Arctic air with strong north winds tomorrow. Little if any melting. You would think some on here have never seen how an Arctic front works. I made the snowfall prediction days ago when nobody had a clue so I'm going to take some credit if it's correct.

Still 31 at the moment, the fog has lifted and there are blue skies.

I don't think any of the models have much of a grasp on this system beyond a few days.  I'm not buying those quirky little lows that keep forming off the coast and moving north.  Models could easily flip back to the goods.

 

In the meantime, I'm looking forward to hopefully ending my snowless streak within 24 hours.  I'm gonna ignore everything else beyond that for now.

Snow is picking up in Bellingham now. Probably won't stick much until the south wind dies down, but looks nice.

Hammer about to drop here in Whatcom County. Snow starting to stick near lake Whatcom. Grass turning faint white here on Cordata. Huge flakes coming down in buckets. Rarely does it snow in Bellingham with a 25mph SE wind. it is now.

It would be a lot more fun to track this with no radar coverage though!!! Think about the traffic on this website, it would probably treble.

Surprisingly the NWS has actually lowered my forecast high temps slightly Tues-Friday. Going with 7 straight highs of 32 or lower up here...

I hope that this slug of moisture drops a quick inch or two because the HRRR suggests there won't be much precipitation after that. Currently 33F with a dusting sticking to the grass.

Yup...it's well advertised the zone will drop south.  The WRF actually shows north Pierce and south King Counties doing the best.

PDX NWS has lowered their forecast from 1-2 inches for the valley to less than 1 inch. Lol...

Looks like the cold air has hung in better than expected today.  That will help us tonight for sure.

I'm still baffled by how they came up with their initial 1-3 inches. No model showed that really.
