Picked up 3 inches here since 10:30... that is some heavy snow.

NWS issued a Special Weather Statement for a Heavy Snow Warning.  Apparently a deep and dynamic band has set up over the I-90 corridor from Spokane to Lookout Pass in Idaho.  Wonder if we can squeeze in some Thundersnow?

It looks like another band of snow is trying to form over Everett on radar.

Getting breezy here, blowing snow all around. Temp still at 30. Looks like another small blob on the radar is sinking south for a final snow shower before this main event wraps up.

A pretty ridiculous 11 degrees in Sumas today.  Absolutely brutal there with blowing snow and bitter wind chills.

Outstanding. I'm so happy for Puget Sounders and Western Washington folks who are seeing snow for the 5th to 183rd time this Winter. I've had a rain/snow mix one night that turned to wet snow for 7 minutes and another occasion 1 3/4".

Nuking, hardest I've seen it snow this winter.  Looks like winds may be starting to shift more to the NE too.  guess the arctic front is in the vicinity.  maybe some blowing and drifting later?

My consolation for the lack of precip is that it's absolutely *gorgeous* out there right now! The slush has iced over, all the droplets are icicles. It's breathtaking.

Moderate to heavy snow all day here. Have picked up 6” since 4am and we are getting absolutely buried considering we had 6” on Sunday. 7.6 currently after a low of 5.1.

This was an impactful storm for Seattle and probably caught folks off-guard despite the winter storm warning. I imagine many people thought it was a bust when they woke up to rain. But then there was a changeover to heavy snow and a flash freeze during the morning commute. Afternoon and evening commute will be tough too.

Here is the precip loop from the ECMWF from now through tomorrow morning... you can see what looks like an arctic front form this evening and slowly slide south.

@SnowySeeker50 I can't tell from my doorbell cam - but I see the temp is below freezing - Is there freezing rain in Lakeland?  It looks very wet, but it doesn't look like snow.

Snow in lower Queen Anne has tapered off--for now. But I'm venturing back down to Puyallup, where apparently it's still 40 degrees and raining. We'll see!
