I figured this thing was going to be ridiculous in New England.  Going to be a very quick hitter though.

We have the only decent ridge in the northern hemisphere. Would be nice if it decided to grow up  a bit.

That's where the big MJO comes in.  It just has to get to the right region.

This winter really turned into crap.  Feeling like el nino is here already.

You've had a very cold winter there.  It was just cold in fact.

Well the radar in Seattle looks awful. I have to walk home from work at 700. Hopefully the CZ breaks down a bit by then.

No c-zones with this set up... broad SW flow and the storm is not actually moving inland.    Its racing northward offshore.

That ridge around the 11th-13th looks pretty massive on the 18z GFS. Let’s see if we hit mid-upper 60s again like we did last February. Maybe a big ridge is what it will take to finally shake up the pattern again, though.

I'll never forget late February 2014, it was mid-60's at over 4k feet for a couple days. :P

Had to look it up... Google Street view shows scenes from a happier time.   😀

That is how it looked the one time I was up there. It was mid-October, but it was clear, calm, and the temperature was in the fifties. The forests below were a crazy quilt of fall color. Those who worked there remarked that the conditions were very unusual for that late in the season.

It's called clown range for a reason.

Getting worse. We are now getting excited about druncle 384 maps.  Just like Kramer and Newman, we have officially hit rock bottom.  Soon we will be talking about peeling the labels off cans of beans.

I’m also excited about 400-600 hour maps! Pretty sick eh chubbs

Off-topic somewhat.

Facebook is doing something new if you reply, or click a reaction to a post or comment it opens another window. This is dumb. I don't like this at all. Then you have to close the new window to get back to the group page. I don't know if this is only in groups, or on personal fb pages too. The worst idea ever. This is going to make my group far less enjoyable.
