How's the battery though? May want to switch to Iphone. Any power save mode?

It epends on which iPhone you get as the larger ones have longer battery life due to size. I have a regular iPhone X and have great battery life. iPhones battery life is not much different than most high-end phones out there and they are more than satisfactory when compared.

Reed Timmer will be in Ocean Shores for the wind tomorrow, forgot about him since his beginnings with the Dominator tornado chasing vehicle, always entertaining!!

I’ve never seen him in Oregon before, actually.

Sounds like you really need to go to crown point during east wind density events. You'll feel a lot better and your wind craze will mellow I hope. Get over there next time they're expecting at least 80 mph gusts and get that sh$t out of your system already.

Remember, the density will be with you.

Star Wars guys will get it. Not sure you're old enough K12

Dont forget Crispin Glover's famous line

Some noticeable changes on the 6z GFS beginning at Day 5. Do I think it's going to lead to anything great Day 7+ probably not. However, IF this becomes a trend it certainly can renew our optimism.

Here is Day 6 model comparison

Seems like the whole Northern Hemisphere has been torching hard. And looks to more or less continue.

Western Hemisphere certainly has.

WIND STORM CANCEL!

Really?   Did you not sleep again?

It can be calm here even during a windstorm in Seattle.    That probably won't be the case later today... but widely different conditions across the region is part of the fun of tracking of these systems.

Amazing how in one day it went from looking like a potentially chilly week next week to just a continuation of warm weather. Tigerwoodslibido was right all along...

I was almost convinced that Christmas week was going to be chilly with some snow chances. Kind of disappointed

How about an explanation?

PV gets raped by two large breaking waves, eventually forcing the NAM negative, dumping significant cold into the middle latitudes next month. The PNW can be included in this until convective forcing reaches the warm pool during the middle of January.

The GFS is struggling with the mass/momentum flux transfer in the upper levels, as usual, but all of the other models are on board!

Sounds like you’ve opened our window out another 5 days or so. I thought it was January 10th

January 10th +/- a few days.

I consider mid-month to be 10th-20th. Early month runs from 1st to the 10th. Late month from the 20th onward. At least this is my interpretation.
