That was incredible. I was worried they were going to fold in the 3rd again but they played fantastic defense.

I’m in a season ticket group and I get to go to game 6 on Friday night…hoping they are up 3-2 but we will see!

Crashes are inevitable at this time of year.    Nice thing right now is all the models are showing a return to some more warm weather a couple days later.    It would be nice to get into a variable pattern that includes recurring warm periods rather than just all cold/troughing all the time.

Looks beautiful and warm by after day 8 again. 💕

May 2018 was the perfect time to move into our then new place! We were just a day into living here when I took this picture, I had a mountain of yard work in front of me and the weather cooperated.

Seriously though, at this point we are definitely due for an above average month or most likely many more. If you look at the last five years, PDX has had no more than 3-4 below average months in a year. We may have already reached our quota. Even if we squeeze out one or two more below average years we will be looking at the coldest calendar year since 2012... Not likely, but possible.

Looks like a bastard version of the 2021 June heat dome. Can’t wait.

No photos to share right now, but same here. Suspect the plants will be doing a lot of catch-up this week and by the time Monday rolls around won’t be nearly so delayed compared to last year.

It's called clown range for a reason.

Well eventually it will catch up of course.   But this will be another year with leaves on the trees late into fall.

Why would spring have anything to do with what happens in the fall? The trees have no memory of spring.

Deciduous trees retained their foliage abnormally late last year (caused significant damage here during the first significant snowfall of the season), and the theory was that this was caused by them leafing out abnormally late as well.

Apparently they do.    I remember the same thing happened in 2008 and 2011 with the trees holding onto their leaves late into the fall.   And of course last year after the very late and stunted start.     The complete opposite happened in 2016.   The trees were strikingly bare by early October that year.   They started changing colors in August... after leafing out in March.

My guess is that they have a built in time period requirement that they need to be fully leafed out each year.   But that is just a guess.   We can check back on this topic in late November.    I am willing to bet there will be lots of trees with leaves at Thanksgiving... way more than usual.

I'm pretty sure they have an internal clock. Required time to be dormant and fully leafed. Will be interesting to see if this Fall confirms this.

Putting out patio furniture today.   I am pretty sure this is the latest ever.   Just not motivated to deal with it until today.

There is unrest in the forest?  Trouble with the trees?

I’ve had the cushions on the stuff that’s under cover for a while now. Might be time to put out the stuff that sits in the weather.

At soccer practice which is featuring very muddy fields!
