Tom
Local reports of about .60" of rain fell from the waves that came through overnight. I was able to clean up both my back/front yard yesterday in the sunshine which was nice. The ground was soaked and the leaves that were primarily in the shady areas were still wet which made it difficult to rake as I expended more than expected energy. After I raked the leaves, it was time to cut the lawn on the lowest setting on the lawn mower. Nice and short grass. At the end of the day, I was beat! Thankfully, this chore is done but there may be one more time next week before I start putting up my holiday lights.

Beltrami Island
My conclusion is that the ALL of the models are so inconsistent run to run/model to model right now it isn't even worth looking at them right now. Give them 3-4 days and maybe they will come to some agreement on storm tracks and strength. Do I plan on taking my own advice....probably not.

Stormy
I suppose I might start posting once in awhile again after having so much going the last few weeks that I didn't wanna take time to do it. I ended up in a little heavier band of rainfall for a change and got 0.64" overnight which finally boosted my November liquid precip. total to just over 1". Kind of a boring and dry Nov. so far. The only snow I got this month was around 2.3" on the 11th. But the farmers in my area still have plenty of crops to harvest since a lot of it was planted late and wx conditions haven't been ideal for crop dry down so they aren't ready for snow. Some trees still have plenty of ugly brown looking leaves and they just want to hang on forever it seems like. The lawns are littered with dead leaves once again after I chopped them up with a mower several times and had things looking good. Might just forget about them till they're all off, but it might be mid December by then! I think what happened is they froze so hard before they were ready to drop late in October right after those snows and now they're just hanging tough and dropping occasionally. Remember it happened like that a number of years ago, but wasn't sure what caused it then and think I know now. Don't want real cold to soon again. High temps were in the low to mid 50°s here the last 3 days, but it's currently only 39°.

OmahaSnowFan
Me too with the leaves. I have a Magnolia tree/bush in my backyard that has the ugliest brown leaves clinging to it. I'd say it has 90+% of the original leaves but they're brown and dead and just won't drop off. I also have a juvenile Maple tree that acted like it was going to turn a pretty red color, but the leaves went from some red to a dead brown color and it still has probably 75% of the leaves on it I suppose I might start posting once in awhile again after having so much going the last few weeks that I didn't wanna take time to do it.I ended up in a little heavier band of rainfall for a change and got 0.64" overnight which finally boosted my November liquid precip. total to just over 1". Also yesterdays 0.28” of rain brings the total at Grand Rapids this year to 45.92” and that is good for the 6th wettest year in recorded history here with just 46.29 in 2016, 46.47” in 1993, 46.58” in 1994, 47.53” in 1986 and 48.80” in 2008 wetter.
