James Jones
Strawman bullsh*t again. The June 20 - July 20 period in 1954 was actually warmer and drier than the same period in 2019 in this area. That is a fact. And the 1954 period was not that great either. The entire summer was not like 1954... but that period was in fact nicer in 1954. And that is all that was said. Side note... troughing in the summer can be very nice as well. And some marine layer days are perfectly normal and expected.LOL Even that cherry picked period was much warmer than 1954. Maybe more total precip in 2019 but definitely less gloomy.
TT-SEA
LOL Even that cherry picked period was much warmer than 1954. Maybe more total precip in 2019 but definitely less gloomy. It was not cherry picked... I did the comparison in the third week of July last year. We have been over this many times. It was much different down there. Apples to apples... for the same station in the Snoqualmie Valley... that period actually had less rainy days and more days above 70 in 1954 than it did in 2019. That is a fact that you cannot change. It was interesting. It was not the entire summer as a whole... but that month (33% of summer) actually eclipsed 1954 in terms of crappy weather in this area. And I did not bring up this up again today. The rest of last summer was really nice. TT-SEA
I can post the details again if you want... it was not even close actually. That is my favorite part of summer when its nice. The days are long and the sun angle is high and 4th of July is in the middle of that period. By the end of July... the days are getting shorter and it feels like the peak has passed. June 20 - July 20 1954 at the Snoqualmie Falls station had 9 days with rain and 15 days above 70. June 20 - July 20 2019 the same station had 21 days with rain and 12 days above 70. If I had to choose which year to pick for that summer period... it would be 1954 by a long shot. It rained on 12 more days in 2019 compared to 1954 and there were 3 more days above 70 in 1954. But for the entire summer... 2019 was much warmer than 1954 here.
